What kind of documents do you translate?<\/a><\/h2>\n

Most often I translate government texts of various kinds (general, medical, military, etc.) and business communications, including promotional materials (websites, informative newsletters, brochures, etc.) or documents intended for company personnel. I am also certified to translate official documents (transcripts, certificates, etc.). My studies in the humanities, as well as my experience in journalism, have allowed me to familiarize myself with the most diverse areas: history, economics, politics, children’s literature, gastronomy, tourism, etc.<\/p>\n

Whatever the nature of your document, I always take the time to study it carefully before accepting your request. I would never presume to translate a text which I do not fully understand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Do you offer translation services into English?<\/a><\/h2>\n
\n

The golden rule is always to translate <\/b>into your mother tongue<\/strong>. I therefore only translate into French<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Why me rather than someone else?<\/a><\/h2>\n
\n

I am a Certified Translator, and also hold two university degrees, one in International Studies and Modern Languages, the other in Translation. I also have over ten years of experience in journalism as a freelancer for various publications. This has enabled me to refine my writing style and familiarize myself with the most diverse subject areas.<\/p>\n

What are your fees?<\/a><\/h2>\n

My fees are based on the number of words in the source<\/b> text and vary according to the degree of specialization of the document. To find out what your translation project would cost, please click “Request a Quote” at the top of the page. I will answer you within 24 business hours, and most often faster.<\/p>\n

In special cases, where the number of words is not a true reflection of the amount of work (translation of a slogan, for example), I may propose an hourly rate. I will then provide you with an advance estimate of the maximum time required.<\/p>\n

If the deadline for the translation of a document requires me to work evenings or weekends, the rate is increased accordingly. This supplement will be indicated in the quote.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

How long does it take to do a translation?<\/a><\/h2>\n
\n

The amount of time required depends primarily on my availability. I am more busy at certain times than others. In the quotation request form, enter the date and time when you would like to receive the translated text. If the deadline is too tight, I’ll let you know and will indicate how long it would take me to deliver a quality translation. For a non-specialized text, about 2000 words per day is a norm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What file types do you accept?<\/a><\/h2>\n

I prefer to work with MS-Word files, but I also accept PowerPoint, Excel and PDF files.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Have no fear: as a Certified Translator, I am under the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information. I will also ensure that your documents do not fall into the wrong hands. Access to my computer is protected by a password, and all my files are kept under lock and key.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
